Our Story
Briana and Lyle met in January 2020 at Bambara, a restaurant in Cambridge, MA. Unbeknownst to Briana when she picked Bambara for the first date, Lyle knew the head chef, and had arranged for him to make her dairy-free dishes. Briana couldn't believe that he remembered such a small detail from their very first conversation, and she was grateful that he went to such an effort to make her feel special. The rest of the night was a blur of laughter and conversation, as they talked for hours, closing down the restaurant. By the end of the night, they both knew that they had found their soulmate.
They had only been dating for a few months when the COVID-19 pandemic hit. The world shut down, and Briana and Lyle found themselves quarantined together in South Boston. They decided to make the most of it by cooking elaborate meals, playing board games, and binge-watching TV. In some ways, quarantine was like an early trial run for married life. Briana and Lyle learned a lot about each other during that time, and their bond only grew stronger.
When the world reopened, Briana and Lyle resumed their social lives. They explored new restaurants around Boston, traveled around the country and world to visit friends, and regularly found themselves on the beach with friends and family in Hull, MA.
In March 2023, Lyle proposed to Briana at Bambara, where they had their first date. He had arranged for both of their families to be there for a surprise celebratory dinner. Briana was so happy and surprised that she started to cry. She said yes, of course!
Briana and Lyle are getting married in May 2024. They can't wait to spend the rest of their lives together, and celebrate with their closest friends and family!
